Urgent Care and Emergencies
We know that pets get sick at all times of the day and night. We know that it isn’t always possible to get an appointment as soon as your pet may need to be seen. In these situations, we are happy to see you and your pet on a walk-in basis.
How much will this cost?
- Between 7 AM and 5 PM, the exam fee is $175, or $200 if your pet is critically ill.
- Between 5pm and closing, the exam fee is $200.
The exam fee includes the veterinarian discussing your pet’s problem with you, examining your pet, and coming up with a medical plan that addresses your pet’s illness. The exam fee does not include additional procedures such as x-rays, bloodwork or medication to go home. Please feel free to ask your veterinarian for an estimate of the cost of your pet’s medical plan.
Primary Care Doctor
We encourage you to form a relationship with a “primary care doctor,” someone who works with you the most often will be coming to Adobe and someone who can get to know you and your pet and take care of routine and on-going problems. Of course, none of our doctors can work all of the time, so urgent problems can be effectively handled by other members of our staff when your primary doctor is not available. Since our records are computerized, all of your pet’s history will be available to any doctor caring for your pet.

Our South Bay hospital can hospitalize animals for the day. You are welcome to stay with your pet for treatments. We do not have 24 hour care at this time. If your pet will need to be hospitalized overnight, we recommend transfer to our Los Altos location.
We have two very dedicated individuals managing the day to day administration of the Hospital.
Their names are Paul Eccles and Summer Burke-Irmiter.
