Special interests: General medicine, soft-tissue surgery, emergency medicine, and behavior

Pets: Kal (also known as Kalabunga, a calm sweet Shepherd mix) and Samantha (also known as Sammy girl, an energetic lovable Labrador Retriever).

I grew up in Southern California where at the age of 7 knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. I attended Cal Poly Pomona for my undergraduate, studying the Pre-Veterinary tract. I worked in Emergency Medicine during my undergraduate where I fell in love with emergency medicine and strengthened my desire to become a veterinarian. I then attended UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. I am very excited to join the Adobe team and continue offering high quality veterinary care. I currently have 2 dogs that I frequently take hiking or to the lake in my free time. I also enjoy running, mountain biking, reading, and spending times with friends and family. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet(s)!

Special Interests: nutrition, small mammal and exotic medicine, and low-stress handling

Pets: A Shepherd mix (Ansel), two cats (Foxtrot and Brilliant), four parakeets (Lima, Sapphire, Argent, and Pan), and a husband (Kit).

I grew up in NorCal, and was often at my grandparents’ horse ranch in the Napa foothills. I attended UC Davis for my BS in Animal Science, and along the way picked up minors in English and Psychology. After graduating, I worked as a tech assistant and inventory manager at a small animal hospital while taking night classes towards a Master’s in Biotechnology – once I’d started working in the veterinary field I couldn’t resist the lure, and decided to apply to vet school. After graduating I completed a rotating small animal internship at Pet Specialists of Monterey, where I then stayed as an emergency clinician. I am looking forward to building those long-term relationships with patients and clients (and of course the Adobe team!) as I move into practice at Adobe. I am excited to be part of a team with such diverse strengths and interests! My professional interests include nutrition, small mammal and exotic medicine, and low-stress handling – though I am interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine! In my free time, I’ll do pretty much anything that takes me outdoors but I particularly enjoy hiking, kayaking, and gardening.

Special Interests: reptile, rodent, avian medicine

Pets: Austin (mini dachshund), Colby (mini dachshund), Radar (corgi-chihuahua cross), Hyacinth (chicken), Rose (chicken)

I am originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. I lived there until I moved to Davis, California to complete my undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After my graduation in 1996, I moved to Santa Cruz where I practiced for two years at a small animal hospital. I joined Adobe Animal Hospital in May 1998.

In the past, to gain a lot of hands on experience, I have had many exotic pets from ball pythons, bearded dragons, sulcata tortoises, rainbow boa, day geckos, cockatiels, savannah monitors, king snakes, to even a hedgehog.

My partner and I currently live in San Jose with our boys (dogs) and girls (chickens). The chickens have been a very fun recent addition to our family. My interests outside of the hospital include cooking, gardening, reading and playing volleyball. I do like to stay active and enjoy being outdoors.

I attended undergraduate and veterinary school in Ithaca, a lovely college town in upstate New York. After graduating from veterinary school, I lived and worked in San Francisco for four years, then came to Adobe Animal Hospital in 1992. All aspects of small animal medicine interest me, and I have a particular interest in ultrasonograpy.

I love working at Adobe Animal Hospital. The people with whom I work are dedicated and gifted people. I truly appreciate being able to follow all my patients through the many stages of their lives. When not at work I cherish my time with my family (Sam, Helen, and Alexis).

Special Interests: general medicine; abdominal ultrasound; feline medicine

Pets: Buttercup (Chihuahua), Kodiak (Austrailian Shepherd mix), 5 cats (Maya, Westley, Colby Jack, Diamond, & Tiffany), 2 guinea pigs, and a freshwater aquarium.

I was born and raised in Ventura, California. I have wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. When I graduated high school, I moved on to UC Davis for my undergraduate work in hopes of accomplishing my dream of becoming a veterinarian. I obtained by B.S. in Animal Science at Davis in 1994 and went on to attend veterinary school there. After graduation in 2000, I married my long-time college sweetheart and moved to San Francisco where he was attending graduate school.

Prior to coming to Adobe, I worked at the San Francisco SPCA Animal Hospital for 3 1/2 years. I learned a lot at the SPCA, made many good friends there, as well as acquired two little dogs, who came to us with broken legs and ended up becoming permanent members of our family. I joined the Adobe staff in April 2004. I really enjoy working at Adobe with both the challenges and rewards of working in such a busy hospital. I enjoy all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, but i am particularly interested in ultrasonography and feline medicine.

When I am not at Adobe, I can generally be found spending time with my family which consists of my husband, our young son, and our menagerie of pets. In our spare time we enjoy going to sporting events, hiking, camping, and being with friends and family. I have also enjoyed participating in the canine sport of Agility, both with my old dogs who have passed away (RIP Cricket & Meka) and with our Aussie mix, Kodiak.

Pets: 3 cats: Carl Todd, Lippy and Muggins; 2 dogs: Tyler and Smokey

When I graduated from high school and decided that I wanted to become a veterinarian, I got a lot of negative input from everyone. My school counselor told me I would never get into Vet School because there were ten applicants for every open spot. Our family vet complained to me that even his own son could not gain admission. I ended up going to college and getting a degree in chemistry instead. I worked as a chemist in the oil industry for many years, but I realized that what I really wanted to do was be a veterinarian.

It was scary at the time, but I quit my well-paying job as a chemist and went to work at an animal hospital in Whitter, California cleaning cages and restraining animals. I did not know one end of a dog from the other, but I learned and everyone was eager to help me along. After picking up biology courses at Cal Poly Pomona, I applied to UC Davis and was accepted. I met my husband, Ken in our class, and we married two years after graduating.

We now live in San Jose with three cats; two that are each missing a leg and one that is missing part of her brain (she actually has an underdeveloped cerebellum, which makes her a little uncoordinated, but she can still outrun me.) Our two dogs are both rescues; one is a goofy Boxer named Tyler, who’s dimwitted but lovable, and a happy young Pit Bull whom our cat Carl rules with an iron paw. In our downtime, we enjoy camping, hiking, reading, and antiquing.
