It’s Hard to Believe the Marketplace just Celebrated it’s 2 Year Anniversary

The Marketplace is a pet store that carries products that are designed to help pets with medical needs and to promote, health, well being and safety. The store is well stocked with all the major brands of prescription diets and supplements. There are products to cover everything from orphan kitten care to senior pet needs. We have a full range of post surgical supplies including a variety of e collars and bandaging equipment. There are products for dermatology, pet safety, travel, and behavioral needs. We carry emergency and safety gear including first-aid kits, seat belt harnesses, cooling vests and light up collars and leashes. We even have treats, toys and food for small mammals and backyard chickens.

Of course we carry a lot of fun stuff too. What store would be complete without beautiful collars and leashes? We have lots of cookies, treats and fun toys to make pets feel better after a visit to the vet.

In the last two years the Marketplace has really blossomed with new programs and classes. In the spirit of getting new puppy members off to a good start, the Marketplace now offers puppy socialization classes twice a week. We have participated in community outreach events like Bark in the Park, and Canine Companions for Independence. We have hosted adoption fairs for rescue groups such as rabbit haven and chinchilla rescue. The Marketplace and Adobe Animal hospital hosted food and blanket drives for the local humane shelters. We held several community education seminars on subjects ranging from emergency preparedness, care of senior pets, holiday hazard and back yard chicken care. Our next seminar will be held April 22ndand be on disaster preparedness. Dr Christi Blackwolf will cover pet CPR, bandaging and much more on what to do in case of an emergency. I hope you can come join us!

Heather Lussier, of Posh Pooch Portraits,  has moved her studio into the Marketplace. She has partnered with us on several fund raising photo shoots for the many animal rescue groups in the area. Her wonderful work can be seen in the lobby and exam rooms of both hospitals and at her studio in the Marketplace.

We are looking forward to another fun event filled year at the Marketplace. We will keep you posted on our new events and hope to see you soon
