School: Ohio State University, 2008

Pets: Darcy (my sweet lab mix that just had surgery), Howie (my adorable, unruly orange tabby cat), and Ophelia (my effervescent bull terrier mix that loves to be my hiking and running buddy)

i was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, but always had a coastal connection spending summers and holidays in Sarasota, Florida. My coastal connection led me to pursue a degree in marine biology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. After my first year of undergrad, I interned at a marine mammal and sea turtle rehabilitation center and realized that I enjoyed the medicine as much as working with these unique species. This interest is what led me on my path to veterinary school. While I still enjoy working with wildlife and the conservation aspect of medicine, I also really enjoy working with family pets. I have been working in San Jose and San Francisco for the past 6 years with dogs and cats, but am excited to join Adobe and pursue my interest in working with all different types of animals. I also currently volunteer with International Bird Rescue, an aquatic bird rehab center and oiled bird response center in Cordelia and at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito in my free time. I enjoy traveling and have most recently been to Belgium, Holland, Alaska, Belize and Ireland. My other interests include hiking, running, cooking, camping, snow boarding and playing and listening to music.

Special Interests: reptile, rodent, avian medicine

Pets: Austin (mini dachshund), Colby (mini dachshund), Radar (corgi-chihuahua cross), Hyacinth (chicken), Rose (chicken)

I am originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. I lived there until I moved to Davis, California to complete my undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After my graduation in 1996, I moved to Santa Cruz where I practiced for two years at a small animal hospital. I joined Adobe Animal Hospital in May 1998.

In the past, to gain a lot of hands on experience, I have had many exotic pets from ball pythons, bearded dragons, sulcata tortoises, rainbow boa, day geckos, cockatiels, savannah monitors, king snakes, to even a hedgehog.

My partner and I currently live in San Jose with our boys (dogs) and girls (chickens). The chickens have been a very fun recent addition to our family. My interests outside of the hospital include cooking, gardening, reading and playing volleyball. I do like to stay active and enjoy being outdoors.

Special Interests: general medicine, soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography

Pets: 2 dogs , 2 cats, 1 turtle, 6 koi, 5 chickens, 3 parakeets

I attended undergraduate and veterinary school in Ithaca, a lovely college town in upstate New York. After graduating from veterinary school, I lived and worked in San Francisco for four years, then came to Adobe Animal Hospital in 1992. All aspects of small animal medicine interest me, and I have a particular interest in ultrasonograpy.

I love working at Adobe Animal Hospital. The people with whom I work are dedicated and gifted people. I truly appreciate being able to follow all my patients through the many stages of their lives. When not at work I cherish my time with my family (Sam, Helen, and Alexis).
