Dr Sharon Zweiter Adobe Animal Hospital

School: Cornell University, 1986

Special Interests: general medicine, internal medicine, abdominal ultrasound

 Pets: Yes!

I grew up in New York and went to school in the Northeast at the University of Pennsylvania for under graduate study, and Cornell University for veterinary school. They were both cold, but the food was good. From Cornell I secured an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, where it was still cold, but the food was even better, and there were fewer cows. I had multiple pets, mostly German Shepherds and cats, and one duck that was particularly sweet, and provided fresh eggs.

I have worked all over the U.S., but by far my favorite job is at Adobe. It is such a diverse hospital, with so many talented people working at such a high level of expertise, that every day I enjoy the feeling of dispensing the best medicine available. I like to concentrate on internal medicine patients and on performing abdominal ultrasounds. At this time, I prefer to see dogs, cats, and rodents.

When not working, I look forward to sleeping. Sometimes, I run or hike, attend the ballet, bake or garden. Occasionally I remember how happy and lucky I am to be in such a beautiful place as California with such terrific colleagues, coworkers and friends. And now that my daughter, Jolie and I live in the Bay Area, the food is the best ever.
