I was born and raised in Ventura, California. I have wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. When I graduated high school, I moved on to UC Davis for my undergraduate work in hopes of accomplishing my dream of becoming a veterinarian. I obtained by B.S. in Animal Science at Davis in 1994 and went on to attend veterinary school there. After graduation in 2000, I married my long-time college sweetheart and moved to San Francisco where he was attending graduate school.

Prior to coming to Adobe, I worked at the San Francisco SPCA Animal Hospital for 3 1/2 years. I learned a lot at the SPCA, made many good friends there, as well as acquired two little dogs, who came to us with broken legs and ended up becoming permanent members of our family. I joined the Adobe staff in April 2004. I really enjoy working at Adobe with both the challenges and rewards of working in such a busy hospital. I enjoy all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, but i am particularly interested in ultrasonography and feline medicine.

In addition to my husband, Steve, we recently added a beautiful baby boy to our family. Timothy was born on December 1st, 2008, and I am really enjoying motherhood. The rest of our family consists of four wonderful cats (3 of which I've had since they were less than two weeks old), three great dogs, and a twenty gallon aquarium full of various fish and one aquatic frog. When I am not at work, I enjoy camping, hiking and other outdoor activities, or just spending time with friends and family especially since the birth of my son. I also enjoy taking my two jack russell terriers to agility practice or trials, which is a lot of fun.
